Hans Georg Fuchs

Hans Georg Fuchs (born March 21, 1932 in Vienna ; † March 9, 2020 in Mönichkirchen ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and industrialist . He was a member of the National Council in the XVI. Legislative period from May 19, 1983 to March 6, 1984.

After graduating from the Bundesgymnasium Graz in 1950, he studied at the Technical University there . He graduated in 1955. He also attended a teacher training college . 1956 to 1959 worked for the Eldra company , then until 1962 for FD Sims Limited in Lancashire, England and finally from 1962 to 1980 for the family-owned Fuchs & Co. AG .

He began his political career as chairman of the specialist group for the electrical industry in the Styrian Chamber of Commerce . From 1965 to 1978 he was a member of the Styrian state parliament and from 1980 to 1983 regional councilor . In 1983 he was also a member of the board of the Austrian Federation of Industrialists . From 2008 Fuchs headed the Ennstaler Kreis .
