Hans Georg Gemünden

Hans Georg Gemünden (born July 16, 1949 in Ingelheim am Rhein ) is a German economist. He is a professor at the Technical University of Berlin and head of the technology and innovation management department.

Life

Gemünden studied business administration and psychology at the University of Saarland (Saarbrücken) from 1970–1973 . From 1973 to 1979 he worked there as a research assistant at the bank professorship with Jürgen Hauschildt and received his doctorate in 1979 on the subject of transaction marketing . From 1979–1982 he worked as a research assistant at the chair for organization at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel , also at Hauschildt. He completed his habilitation in 1986 on the subject of information behavior and efficiency .

Gemünden has published in international journals, including Creativity and Innovation Management , the Controlling & Management magazine , Schmalenbach's magazine for business research , the Führer Organization magazine and the International Journal of Project Management . In the Handelsblatt Betriebswirte Ranking 2009, which analyzes the research performance of 2,100 business economists in Germany, Austria and German-speaking Switzerland based on the quality of publications since 2005, it reached 63rd place.

Honors

On May 6, 2014, Gemünden was awarded an honorary doctorate from the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at Kiel University's Christian Albrechts University for his services in setting up empirically oriented business innovation research .
