Reichsbahndirektion Wittenberge
The Reichsbahndirektion Wittenberge was an administrative district of the Deutsche Reichsbahn . It was set up for the period from August 15, 1945 to October 1, 1945 in order to manage the railway lines of the Hamburg Railway Directorate that were in the Soviet occupation zone after the Second World War . On July 18 of the same year, the Soviet Military Administration in Germany (SMAD) decided by order no. 010 the establishment of the Wittenberg headquarters.
The following routes were temporarily managed by the Rbd Wittenberge:
- Block Zwedorf bei Schwanheide - Bergerdamm Block Lietzow ( Berlin – Hamburg route )
- Hagenow Land - Zarrentin am Schaalsee (route Hagenow Land - Bad Oldesloe )
- Wittenberge - Neustrelitz Hbf ( Wittenberge – Strasburg route )
- Wittenberge - Stendal ( Wittenberge – Magdeburg route )
- Wittenberge - Dömitz ( Wittenberge – Buchholz route )
- Salzwedel - Geestgottberg (route Salzwedel – Geestgottberg )
- Glöwen - Havelberg (route Glöwen – Havelberg )
- Pritzwalk - Neustadt (Dosse) (route Neustadt (Dosse) - Meyenburg )
- including the Hagenow Land and Wittenberge railway depots
By command no. 75 on August 26, the dissolution of the management was announced.
Between August 15 and September 16, Dr. Stieler President of the Railway Administration.
From October 1, 1945, the routes managed by it were divided between the re-established Reichsbahndirektion Magdeburg , which received the areas southwest of the Elbe , and the Reichsbahndirektion Schwerin , which got the rest of the areas and the two railway depots.
