Hans Gruhl-Braams (born December 25, 1921 in Bad Altheide , Silesia , † October 11, 1966 in Munich ) was a German writer .

Life

Hans Gruhl did his doctorate as a doctor and philologist and worked temporarily as a pediatrician and X-ray specialist.

Increasingly he devoted himself to writing. He became known through entertainment literature and crime novels . The always cheerful stories are often set in the medical environment.

For the films I swear and vow (1959) and Today my husband quits me (1962), Hans Gruhl worked as a screenwriter.

Hans Gruhl died by - probably unintentional - suicide. Presumably to empathize with a scene for a new novel , he put a pistol, the magazine of which he had previously emptied, to his head and pulled the trigger. Obviously he hadn't considered the cartridge in the barrel of the weapon.

successes

In particular, his novels about the dachshund Blasius ( love on crooked legs and marriage on crooked legs ) are still known and loved today.

His crime novels Take a Seat and Die , Five Dead Old Ladies , The Fourth Scalpel and The Last Visite are repeatedly broadcast as radio plays on the radio.

Love on crooked legs was born in 1959 based on a script by Herbert Reinecker with Walter Giller , Liesl Karlstadt , Sonja Ziemann a . a. filmed .

In 1973 a Dutch film adaptation of The fourth scalpel ( Het vierde scalpel ) with Peter Aryans followed.
