action
The family life and the marriage of the family man and stockbroker Alfred Paulsen, who lives in a secure position, is ruined by his own pursuit of profit and the endless demands of his wealthy wife.
reception
The film-dienst described the film as a "contemporary comedy, overloaded with questionable pseudo-wisdom about love, marriage and family". The film is "well played and therefore with some cheerful moments, but overall rather without any sense of style and real depth". The evangelical film observer also judges rather negatively : "The film about a housefather who is seen by the family only as a source of money has a cheerful and contemplative effect despite good approaches through a lot of templates and a questionable conclusion."
