Brigitte Skay
Brigitte Skay (born July 18, 1940 in Mannheim ; † November 19, 2012 in Weinheim ; born Brigitte Johanna Riedle ) was a German actress in German and Italian films of the late 1960s and early 1970s, subscribing to sex-oriented roles that were more seductive, mysterious and dangerous Women.
Life
After attending a business school, she took acting classes for two years. She had her first theater engagement in 1962 at the Zimmertheater in Heidelberg . At the same time she appeared as a guest at the Ruhr Festival in Recklinghausen .
Although he has also been active in film ( Today my husband quits ) and television ( Alsterstrasse series ) since the early 1960s , Skay was only regularly in front of the camera with the advent of the sex film wave (around 1967). Sometimes she even played leading roles, such as the title heroine in the 1969 costume film Isabella - With a bare chest and a pointed sword (original title: Isabella, duchessa dei diavoli). The film was a successful film beyond the borders of Italy.
The attempt to make a career in Italy failed; Brigitte Skay continued to receive television roles in Germany (including in Kurz vor dem Sprung , Evarella , Der Ewige Gatte , Oh, such a nice person and On the trail of the perpetrator ) and occasionally appeared in shows (e.g. in the current showroom of the NDR ).
Skay also tried her hand as a pop singer; in 1971 the single Because I'm So Sexy was released .
In the mid-1970s, she retired from the film and television business and moved to Rome. She devoted herself to textile art. She exhibited her three-dimensional pictures worldwide.
Brigitte Skay died on November 19, 2012 in Weinheim (Rhein-Neckar district) of complications from cancer.
