Life

Originally a policeman and boxer , later a miner , Claer became known in the early 1970s for his coarse novels , which have the milieu of the Ruhr area as their background and depict a life in the colliery settlements reduced to maloche (work), sex and alcohol consumption .

Claer's books served as a casual template for the Laß itucken, Kumpel series of a total of six sex films , which were made between 1972 and 1975 and 1981, and in which he played himself. He passed away in December 2002 after being bedridden for nearly 15 years as a result of a stroke and requiring long-term care towards the end of his life.
