Hans Küchler (born October 14, 1933 ) is a former German football player in the GDR Oberliga , the top division of the GDR Football Association . As a first division player he was active in Karl-Marx-Stadt , East Berlin , Halle (Saale) and Stendal . Küchler is eight times B national player of the GDR.

Career as a soccer player

From Karl-Marx-Stadt to Halle

In the 1953/54 season, the company sports community (BSG) Chemistry Karl-Marx-Stadt achieved promotion to the GDR league for the first time. In the second half of the season, 20-year-old Hans Küchler was also part of the squad. As a right winger, he made his debut on February 14, 1954 in the league game Stahl Freital - BSG Chemie (0-2) and recommended himself with his goal to 2-0 for further missions. In fact, he played all of the remaining eight point games, but did not get any further hits. In his first league season 1954/55 he came after the mixed first half of the season with only eight missions after the winter break to a regular place in the Karl-Marx-Städter attack series, so that he finally came to 19 games in this 26 round season in which he scored four goals scored.

From 1956 GDR football was played every calendar year. At the beginning of the season, Küchler moved to the top club of the GDR Army Sports Association , the upper division forward Berlin . With him he reached the final of the GDR soccer cup , which the East Berliners lost with Küchler as the right runner with 1: 2 against Chemie Halle. With his use on July 22, 1956 in the youth international game GDR - Poland (1: 1), he came as a center forward for his first international selection. After two seasons, Küchler left the army sports club again, having played 31 point games and scored four goals.

In 1958 Küchler played for SC Chemie Halle-Leuna, also in the GDR league. As a midfielder and defender, he completed 20 of the 26 played point games and only scored one goal. On May 2, 1959, Küchler was deployed again internationally. In the B international game Hungary - GDR (3-1) he came on the field as a substitute. The SC Chemie was relegated at the end of the season, and Küchler made another team change.

Stendal

At the beginning of 1959 Küchler had already played for three teams in the major league. Station of his fourth change was the league returnee BSG Lok Stendal . Here he got into the elevator between the Oberliga and the GDR league, in 1959 and 1961/62 (return to the summer-spring rhythm) Küchler descended with the BSG locomotive, only to be promoted back to the Oberliga a year later. Career as a coach

From 1985 to 1988 Küchler was a coach at the third division Empor Tangermünde . In 2010 he was still working as a goalkeeping coach at Lok Stendal, where he looked after the U-20 world champion from 2010 Almuth Schult .
