Hans Kadich von Pferd

Hans Kadich von Pferd (born January 12, 1864 in Brno , † September 7, 1909 in Hamburg ) was a scientist and writer , especially a narrator .

His father Heinrich was an important horse breeder, his brother Heinrich Kadich von Pferd an important heraldist and genealogist .

In Vienna since 1876 , he began studying at the University of Vienna in 1883. During his studies in 1883 he became a member of the Silesia Vienna fraternity , to which he belonged until 1894. In 1887 he was promoted to Dr. phil. PhD . In 1884 he was appointed to the zoological court cabinet there. In 1885 Kadich made a study trip to Herzegovina . In the Caucasus he was hunting director in the service of the Prince of Oldenburg. Soon after returning to Vienna, he prepared the expedition to Alaska from 1909. On the way back he died in Hamburg. Hans Kadich von Pferd was a member of various hunting and dog associations at home and abroad, including in America .

As a writer, he had taken on the alternative name of H. Waldlieb.
