Hans Koch (politician, 1930)

Hans Koch (born November 27, 1930 in Groß Breese ; † December 4, 1979 ) was a German politician ( CDU ). He was a member of the presidium of the main board and chairman of the Schwerin district association of the CDU.

Life

Koch, son of a farmer, worked on his parents' farm after attending elementary school. He later qualified as an agricultural engineer .

After the Second World War he was actively involved in the implementation of the land reform and in the people 's congress movement in what was then the state of Mecklenburg . He joined the CDU in 1950 and held the position of chairman of the CDU district association Perleberg from 1953 to 1956 . From 1956 to 1958 he acted as deputy chairman and from 1958 as chairman of the Schwerin district association of the CDU. At the same time he was from 1958 a member of the Schwerin district assembly, deputy chairman of the district committee of the Society for German-Soviet Friendship and a member of the district committee of the National Front . Koch was elected a successor candidate at the 9th party congress in October 1958 and a member of the CDU main board at the 10th party congress in June 1960. On June 25, 1974 he was elected as a member of the Presidium of the main board of the CDU.

Koch died at the age of 49 and was buried in the forest cemetery in Schwerin-Krebsförden .
