Hans Kudlich (lawyer)

Hans Kudlich (* 1970 in Neustadt an der Aisch ) is a German lawyer and university professor.

Life

From 1990 Hans Kudlich studied law in Augsburg and Würzburg . After his first state examination in 1995, he worked as a research assistant for Ulrich Sieber and Eric Hilgendorf . In 1998 he did his doctorate in criminal law in Würzburg during his legal clerkship. In 2002 he completed his habilitation at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich .

Subsequently, Kudlich held the chair for criminal law, criminal procedure law, secondary criminal law areas and legal theory at the Bucerius Law School in Hamburg. He gave up this position in 2004 and followed a call from the University of Erlangen to the chair for criminal law, criminal procedure law and legal philosophy, which he still holds today. He turned down offers to the universities of Bayreuth and Munich.

Hans Kudlich researches and teaches criminal law and criminal procedural law, in particular with regard to multimedia criminal law and commercial criminal law. He is also a permanent contributor to the journals Legal Worksheets , the Journal of Criminal Law Studies (ZStW), the Journal of Commercial Criminal Law and Corporate Liability (ZWH) and the New Journal of Criminal Law (NStZ).
