Hans Otto Baumann

Hans Otto Baumann (born November 21, 1862 in Zurich ; † February 14, 1927 there ) was a Swiss painter .

life and work

Baumann attended the art school of the South Kensington Museum in London . Then studied in Paris at the Académie Julian in William Adolphe Bouguereau and Tony Robert-Fleury life drawing and Fernand Cormon the Aktmalen . He became known through his portraits a. a. by the writer Dora Melegari (1849–1924) and Emma Wedekind (1847–1915) the wife of Johannes von Miguel .
