Hans Roth (entrepreneur, 1916)
Hans Roth (born May 6, 1916 in Obergnas in today's Southeast Styria district ; † February 2, 2008 in Gnas) was an Austrian entrepreneur .
Life
Hans Roth, son of the member of the National Council of the same name , completed a commercial apprenticeship in Eisenerz from 1930 to 1933 and then attended a two-year agricultural school in Kirchberg am Wechsel .
In 1945 he married his wife Maria, with whom he had six children. In the same year, the two opened a general store. In 1947 Roth and his wife founded the first branch as well as a taxi and transport company. In 1970 he founded Roth heating oils in Graz . Today the Roth company includes many other companies, such as the waste disposal company Saubermacher , Heizöle-Roth, Modehaus Roth or Interro, a wholesaler for construction materials and fuels.
He died on February 2, 2008 in Gnas.
Awards
Hans Roth received the following awards, among others:
- 1974: Appointment to the Council of Commerce
- 1981: Gold medal of the Republic of Austria
- 1996: Large gold medal of the state of Styria with the star
- 1996: Honorary citizen of the Gnas community
