Hans Alois Schieser

Hans Alois Schieser (born July 15, 1931 in Ulm ) is a German educationalist .

biography

After graduating from Kepler-Gymnasium Ulm in 1952, the son of Alois and Anna (Stegmann) Schieser passed the Magister Artium in Philosophy ( University of Passau 1959), the state examination ( PH Weingarten 1962) and the doctorate in philosophy ( Loyola University Chicago 1970) . He has been married to Margret H. Schröer since June 6, 1962 (children: Peter and Elisabeth). He emigrated to the United States in 1965. He was headmaster of the Pestalozzi School in Ulm (1964-1965), teacher for the learning disabled at the Jeanine Schultz Memorial School in Skokie (1966-1967) and co-director of the Oak Therapeutic School in Evanston (1967-1970). From associate professor to professor of education at DePaul University , he was in Chicago from 1969 to 1991. He was program advisor to the Delphian Society (1977–1990). He was active in the Midwest Montessori Teacher Training Center in Evanston. Since 1991 the professor emeritus he was visiting professor at the Chelyabinsk State University and Irkutsk State University (1998–2005). As a full professor, he was Dean of Studies at the Gustav Siewerth Academy (1995–2003). He is a member of the Board of Trustees Forum German Catholics .
