Hans Schröder

Hans Schröder (born February 7, 1868 in Stettin , † February 23, 1938 in Dortmund ) was a German gynecologist and university professor.

Life

Hans Schröder attended the Marienstiftsgymnasium in Stettin. After graduating from high school, he began to study medicine at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität . In the three emperor year he was active in the Corps Palatia Bonn . After he had proven himself as a chestnut major and senior , he switched to the Silesian Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität in 1889 . There he also joined the Corps Borussia Breslau . He returned to Bonn via the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg , where he took the state examination in 1893 and was awarded a Dr. med. received his doctorate. He then went to America and East Asia for a year before returning to Bonn University as an assistant doctor in 1894. In 1898 he completed his habilitation there for gynecological diseases and obstetrics. Appointed professor in 1904, he settled in Dortmund as a gynecologist in 1906. For the handbook of gynecology for doctors and students published in 1913 he edited the chapter Physiology of the female genitalia .
