Hans Tesch (journalist)

Hans Tesch (* 1955 in Horitschon ) is an Austrian journalist and non-fiction author .

Live and act

Tesch completed a degree in business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business , which he completed with a master's degree. After completing his studies, he worked as a journalist. Since 1979 he has worked for the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF), first in the editorial department of the news program Zeit im Bild , then since October 1979 for the ORF business magazine “Schilling”, for which he was responsible for broadcasting in 2010 under the new name ECO . Tesch worked as chief editor of the ORF regional studios of Burgenland . Hans Tesch also emerged as the author of non-fiction books on economic topics in particular.

He is also culturally involved. As chairman of the Franz Liszt Association , he campaigned for regular concerts in Liszt's birthplace, Raiding, in the Oberpullendorf district in Burgenland . Tesch succeeded in "establishing raiding as a Liszt performance venue". He also campaigned for the construction of the concert hall.

Awards

By resolution of the Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen , Tesch was awarded the professional title of professor in 2018 for special services to journalism and the cultural scene in Austria .
