Content of the broadcast
The business magazine Eco provides weekly news from the world of business and finance . In the program, background analyzes on the subjects of the world of work, money, companies, international economy and the future are presented.
General
Eco is broadcast weekly on ORF 2 on Thursdays at 10:30 p.m. The show has been moderated by Dieter Bornemann since July 2017 - it is directed by Katinka Nowotny.
The program Eco is broadcast under the title “Eco Spezial” for current events or explosive topics.
Since January 7, 2016, the program has been presented from a new studio and has thus been given a new look. The previous light blue-gray color was replaced by a sky-blue-turquoise and the lettering is shown in square letters in the new logo . Before that, the appearance was last changed with the issue of January 15, 2009.

The series began on October 24, 1979 with the magazine Schilling Damals on Wednesday at 9 p.m. From January 12, 1981, Schilling switched to Monday at 9 p.m. Since March 1995 ECo has been playing after ZIB 2 at 10:30 p.m. From May 1999 the follow-up program Euro Austria ran . Since that time, there are also Teletext - subtitles . On October 17, 2002, Eco (at that time still € co) started with Angelika Ahrens, who, with interruptions, had already worked in the Schilling and Euro Austria editorial teams.
