Angelika Ahrens
Angelika Ahrens, also Angelika Christine Ahrens-Gutenbrunner, (born March 24, 1972 in Salzburg ) is an Austrian television journalist . From 2002 to 2017 she presented the ORF business magazine Eco . She is currently working as a correspondent for TV and print media in New York. She also gives lectures and workshops on the subject of "Stress Relief" and "Digital Detox".
Life
After graduating from high school in 1991 in Laufen , she completed an apprenticeship as a bank clerk in Bad Reichenhall . At the same time she worked for the private radio station Freilassing . She then worked at the brokerage office Hornblower Fischer NY. She then completed a journalism degree at Danube University Krems .
She has been working for ORF since 1994, initially for the current service of Radio Niederösterreich . From 1997 she presented the children's news program Mini-ZiB , later she changed to the editorial office of the business magazine Schilling. From May 1999 she introduced the stock exchange news in the ZiB 3 , later in the ZIB at 1 p.m. She then worked in the editorial department of the Schilling follow-up program Euro-Austria .
From October 2002 to June 2017 she moderated the business magazine Eco . In addition, she presented the stock market information in ZIB 3 and in the midday ZiB at 1 p.m. In spring 2013 she danced with Thomas Kraml in the eighth season of Dancing Stars , where they took fourth place. In 2015 she married the chef Kurt Gutenbrunner, who runs a restaurant group in New York City . Since 2017 she regularly represents the Yoga magazine of ORF SPORT + on camera.
The qualified yoga teacher has been teaching her self-created workshop "Resilient & Fit" since 2012 and shows how stress-ridden people can relax in a few minutes with yoga , Qi Gong and music therapy . Tools that helped her herself. Together with her husband and boss Kurt Gutenbrunner, she also gives nutrition tips.
