Hans Wissebach

Hans Wissebach (born October 19, 1919 in Marburg ; † August 13, 1983 there ) was a German lawyer and politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school in 1938, Wissebach did Reich labor service , then joined the Waffen-SS and took part in World War II from 1939 to 1945 as a soldier , including as SS-Untersturmführer in the 1st SS Panzer Division Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler . In March 1942 he suffered an injury that made him blind. He then fell into Soviet captivity, from which he was released in January 1954. After his return from captivity, Wissebach studied law in Marburg (1st state examination in 1961, 2nd state examination in 1965) and then worked as a lawyer in Marburg. In addition, he acted for a long time as the secretary of the mutual aid community of soldiers of the former Waffen-SS (HIAG).

Political party

Wissebach had been a member of the CDU since 1961.

Wissebach was a council member of the city of Marburg from 1968 to 1971. He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1969 to 1976 and from June 15, 1977, when he replaced Walter Wallmann , who left the Bundestag , until 1980. He was always drawn into parliament via the Hesse state list.
