Hans Wolf von der Heyden

Hans Wolf von der Heyden († December 7, 1643 ) was a colonel in Brandenburg , chamberlain and governor of Tangermünde and Borgstall , knight of the Order of St. John and Commander of the Johanniterkommende Süpplingenburg .

He comes from the Westphalian family von der Heyden and was 1625 kurbrandenburgischer lieutenant colonel. On October 27 (or 17), 1625, Elector Georg Wilhelm appointed him governor of Tangermünde and Borgstall. On May 4, 1626 he received from the Elector the command of a regiment of 500 Harquebusen riders in Küstrin . On May 19, he was appointed commander of the riders and soldiers in the Spandau Fortress . In 1632 he came to the service of Braunschweig-Lüneburg as a colonel under Georg von Braunschweig and received his own regiment there. At the end of 1633 Heyden was in the service of Sweden as a colonel, councilor and resident in Berlin .

He died in 1643 and was buried in the church of Süpplingenburg .
