The Hansa-Brandenburg FD was a two-seater double-decker for reconnaissance and school purposes during the First World War .

The Hansa-Brandenburg FD was a further development of the Hansa-Brandenburg D . The aircraft had a modified tail unit. The wing struts were now angled inwards. At least three copies were delivered to Austria under the designation BI.
