Hansi Klemm

Hansi Klemm (born June 14, 1951 ) is a German singer and guitarist who was best known for his jazz rock titles.

Life

Hansi Klemm became known as a jazz singer with the East Berlin Klaus Lenz Big Band in the 1970s . In 1976 he won the title Was it just May? first place on the hit parade Beatkiste . In 1977 the band was broken up when Klaus Lenz left for the West. In the same year, Klemm became the singer of the successor band Fusion , which mainly played big band jazz and free jazz , mixed with rock and blues elements .

From 1980 to around 1983 Hansi Klemm was the singer, guitarist, keyboard player, harmonica player and percussionist in the band Mondie , which mainly made fun-oriented music. Occasionally Mondie performed together with the Stefan Diestelmann Trio . Klemm and Diestelmann then often sang in a duet. In 1982 the piece Marie played by Mondie appeared on the Amiga- LP Rock-Bilanz 1982.

Klemm also performed with musicians like the Günther Fischer Quintet ( Kosmoslied ). At times he played with the Modern Soul Band . In 2010 he performed with Klaus Lenz's newly formed big band. His brothers are the saxophonist and composer Thomas Klemm and the conductor Detlef Klemm .
