Hansom Milde-Meissner

Hansom Milde-Meißner (born April 1, 1899 in Habelschwerdt ; † July 13, 1983 in Baden-Baden ; born Johannes Friedrich Milde , further spelling: Hanson Milde-Meißner ) was a German composer .

The trained pharmacist attended music academy and began his artistic career as an arranger and accompanist after the First World War . At the same time he composed his own works, including piano concertos and operettas.

With the start of the sound film , he emerged as a film composer , especially for the production company Carl Froelichs . He also contributed the music for the classic Girl in Uniform .

In 1943 Milde-Meißner was called up for military service. After his release, only a few feature film compositions followed; he now mainly worked for documentaries and television productions.
