features

The moths reach a wingspan of 13 to 18 millimeters. The head is pale ocher and mixed with some gray scales . The antennae are ringed pale ocher and gray. Apically they are slightly serrated and ciliate in the males. Thorax and tegulae are pale ocher, heavily speckled with brownish-gray scales, and lighter behind. The forewings are narrow distally and have a light ocher gray sheen. They are speckled with brownish gray scales , especially at the base and on the Costa loader. An irregular and indistinct dark brown band is found on half and 3/4 of the fore wing length. The fringed scales are ocher gray on the Costa loader and gray on the base. The hind wings shine light gray.

The genital armature of the males is described in the generic article. The Gnathos has rather small knob-shaped ends and is 1/4 the length of the Tegumen . The blades are rounded triangular. The anellus lobes are large and about the length of the tegumen. They are greatly dilated distally and provided with a number of long and slightly curved spines. The saccus is short and strong and about 2/3 as long as the tegumen. The aedeagus is strongly curved.

In the females, the anterior apophyses are rather long, narrow and only slightly curved. The genital plate has a flat V-shaped edge and two large egg-shaped, wrinkled sclerotizations. The ductus bursae is indented towards the corpus bursae. The corpus bursae is very small. The sign is elongated and has sharp protrusions.
