Harald Ofner (born January 21, 1983 in Klagenfurt ) is a former Austrian ice hockey player who played with the Vienna Capitals in the Austrian ice hockey league until November 2011 .
Career
Ofner began his career in the various junior teams of the EC KAC and was part of the Telekom Austria team in the 1999/00 season , in which the KAC, together with local rivals EC VSV, gave youth players the opportunity to gain experience in the second-highest division . In the 2001/02 season he made his debut on the combat team. In the following six years he developed into one of the club's regulars. In 2007, however, he moved to the Tyrol for HC Innsbruck and remained loyal to the club until his voluntary relegation to the National League, before signing a contract with Vienna Capitals in 2009 . On November 18, 2011 Ofner announced that the Austrian would end his career with immediate effect in order to work in the police force in the future.
Ofner recorded two calls-up to the national team in his career, including one in the senior team . With the latter, however, he rose to the first division at the 2009 World Cup .
