Harald Repar

Harald Repar (born August 5, 1962 in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee , Carinthia ) is an Austrian manager . For the SPÖ he was a member of the Federal Council from 1996 to 2000 .

Life

Harald Repar visited after the elementary school a language lycée , on which he in 1981 graduated . He then studied law , first at the University of Vienna and later at the University of Salzburg . In 1987 he completed his diploma studies as a Magister iuris.

After a year of legal internship, he first became a trainee , before he found a job as a contract employee with the Province of Carinthia in 1988 and worked, among other things, as the secretary of the then Deputy Governor. In 1993 he switched to Repar Werbung für Medien GmbH , where he was a senior executive together with his father until 1994.

In 1994 Repar went into politics when he became managing director of the SPÖ of the federal state of Carinthia. It was also the Social Democrats who sent Repar as a member of the Federal Council in Vienna in March 1996 . Repar was a member of the provincial chamber until May 2000.

From 2000 to 2006, Repar was managing director of Werbung und Marketing Kleine Zeitung GmbH and Kleine Online / Digital, responsible for the online and advertising development of the Kleine Zeitung in the categorized markets and played a key role in developing the “Willhaben” joint venture.

From July 2006 to May 2018 Harald Repar was managing director of the non-profit building, housing and settlement cooperative "Meine Heimat" based in Villach , as well as the subsidiaries HEG and GTS and the housing company Kelag.

Since June 2018 Harald Repar has been managing director of Landeswohnbau Kärnten (LWBK) with the companies Neue Heimat, Kärntner Heimstätte and GWG Villach.
