Harald Rodlauer (born April 11, 1966 in Leoben ) is a former Austrian ski jumper and current head coach of the Austrian ski jumping women in the national team.

Career

Rodlauer made his debut in the Ski Jumping World Cup on January 4, 1984 . In Innsbruck he reached 94th place. Rodlauer was also unsuccessful in the other jumping competitions in Austria until 1986 as part of the Four Hills Tournament . On December 30, 1986, he started outside Austria for the first time in the opening competition of the Four Hills Tournament 1986/87 in Oberstdorf . With 9th place he won World Cup points for the first time and also achieved a place in the top ten for the only time. However, since he was unsuccessful in the other competitions in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , Innsbruck and Bischofshofen , he was unable to place in the overall tournament ranking. He ended the 1986/87 World Cup season in 57th place overall. In the following five years he jumped again only in jumping in Austria. However, he never achieved a top ranking. His best placement was a 31st place in ski flying on the Kulm on February 23, 1991. He jumped his last World Cup on January 6, 1992. After he had competed in a few more jumps in the newly created Ski Jumping Continental Cup , he finished after the 1991 season / 92 his active ski jumping career.

After his active career, Rodlauer, who is a full-time police officer and is on partial leave, trained the ÖSV-C team of the Nordic Combined and worked in the ÖSV . From 2009 he was the head coach of the Italian Nordic combined team. After he left the coaching position with the Italians, he switched back to the ÖSV. Until 2014 he was the head coach of the women's national team.

Rodlauer is also active on the local council in his home town of Traboch and a member of the Traboch People's Party, which is part of the Styrian People's Party .
