The Harbor Girls Hamburg , as A-Team St. Pauli Roller Derby ( SPRD ), are the flat-track roller-derby department of FC St. Pauli and since 2016 a full member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA).

Just like the umbrella club, the Harbor Girls see themselves as a thoroughly political sports club and are committed as ambassadors for a tolerant society free of sexism , racism and homophobia , trans and inter- hostility.

history

The Harbor Girls Hamburg was founded in 2008 as Harbor Girls e. V. on the initiative of the two former players Spooky Spiky and Killing Zoe of the Stuttgart Valley Rollergirlz . The Harbor Girls have been a division of FC St. Pauli since 2014, whereupon the name was changed.

Players in the so-called intermediate group are introduced to the B team . New players can start rookie training twice a year . Since 2018 there has also been a junior team for ten to seventeen year olds, the Pirates of St. Pauli .

The home games of the Harbor Girls are usually held in the sports hall of the Christianeum in Hamburg-Othmarschen or the St. Pauli Business School.

Since 2016, the club has organized the so-called KickAss Cup (KAC) every year , an international fun tournament outside of the Bundesliga.
