The Hardey River is a river in the Pilbara region in the northwest of the Australian state of Western Australia .
geography
The river has its source at Mount Tom Price near Tom Price and flows on state road No. 138 (connection Tom Price - Nanutarra Roadhouse) following first to the southwest and then to the west. In Hardey Junction opens the Hardey River in the Ashburton River .

Origin of name
The Hardey River was named after a friend of the family, J. Hardey , a colonist of the Swan River Colony by explorer Francis Gregory during one of his expeditions in 1861 .
