Haroldas Čyvas (born September 4, 1972 in Šiauliai ) is a Lithuanian volleyball and beach volleyball player .
Career
Haroldas Čyvas has been playing volleyball since 1981. After stints in Buenos Aires and Vienna he was active in the German Bundesliga for many years . Here he first played for Moerser SC and from 2000 for SV Bayer Wuppertal , with whom he became German runner-up in 2002. Then he moved to VV Leipzig and from 2006 to 2011 he played as a diagonal attacker for Chemistry Volley Central Germany . Subsequently, he first trained the women II of the CVM in the regional class south and in the season 2012/13 the first women's team of the club in the regional league south. In the same season he supported the second men's pirate team as a player. For the national team of Lithuania Haroldas Čyvas was active 28 times.
In parallel to indoor volleyball, Čyvas also played beach volleyball for many years. From 1997 to 2005 he competed in international tournaments. His most successful time was with Marius Vasiliauskas , with whom he played three times at European Championships ( 2003 , 2004 and 2005 ). Čyvas also played at German tournaments with various partners until 2008.
Haroldas' brother Henrikas also played in international beach volleyball tournaments until 2001.
