Harren & Partner is the name of a German shipping group based in Bremen that is active in various business areas. The company's core business is ship management of its own and third-party tonnage . The company philosophy of Harren & Partners here is the all-round care of a ship in all areas, starting with the development and construction of a ship to the nautical and technical support of ships in service. Furthermore, Harren & Partner financed various ship projects in the past with the help of private investors and banks.

History of origin

The company headquarters of Harren & Partner in Bremen-Oberneuland

The shipping group Harren & Partner was founded in 1989 by Peter Harren. Initially, the ship Orion III was managed. Between 1992 and 1999 the fleet was expanded to include container feeders, multipurpose, bulk and heavy-lift ships. The establishment of the joint venture Caribbean Feeder Services , Combi Lift and trans-Mar-supply between 1999 and 2002 revived the business. Harren & Partner entered the tanker market in 2002 and currently operates twelve tankers. The services of the company H&P Logistics and Engineering (founded in 2007) were completely taken over in 2015 by Combi Lift GmbH (also based at the shipping company location in Bremen). With the acquisition of Condock Befrachtungs-Gesellschaft , Harren & Partner expanded its portfolio and was able to take an important competitor off the market. The Combi-Dock ships are special ships with the special ability to load floating, rolling and heavy loads with ship cranes. Four ships of this type were put into service between 2008 and 2010, but two of them have since been converted into offshore special ships.
