The Hartman M2 Runner , proprietary Hartman m 2 Runner is a type of multi-purpose cargo ship operated by the Dutch shipping company Hartman Marine Group.
The ship type was designed by the shipbuilding office Conoship in cooperation with the Hartman shipping company and implemented by Vuyk Engineering Groningen and the Shipkits shipyard in Groningen; the hulls were supplied by the shipyard Partner Shipyard in Stettin. The ship's design with aft superstructures and a long central cargo hold is designed as an open-top, multi-purpose dry cargo ship with a large freeboard . The concept of the ship with the largest possible deck area and hatch opening is particularly striking. For this purpose, for example, the deckhouse without a chimney was placed on the starboard side at the very aft and the exhaust system was led outwards on the aft port deck corner. In order to be able to set up the deckhouse in the planned manner and to realize the free deck area, the length of the hull was chosen so that the ship does not have to be equipped with a lifeboat. In addition, the forecastle was designed to be very small and the foremast attached to its leading edge above the stem. The volume of the hold is 6200 m³, the tank ceiling and the movable intermediate decks are reinforced. The ships are mainly designed for loading project and heavy cargo such as windmill components - especially with regard to the transport of long rotor blades - and may be driven with open hatches to transport bulky components. If necessary, you can also drive bulk goods, piece goods or containers . The container capacity is 304 TEU , of which 105 TEU can be carried in space and 199 TEU on deck. The holds of the ships are closed by stacking hatch covers (piggy-back), which are operated by a movable hatch car.
