Harve Bennett (born August 17, 1930 in Chicago , Illinois , † February 25, 2015 in Medford , Oregon ) was an American film producer and screenwriter .

Live and act

Prior to his career in the film business, he studied at the University of California .

He made his debut as a producer and screenwriter in 1968 with the television series The Mod Squad . Until the 1980s he was solely responsible for television. For example, he was executive producer for some episodes of the television series The Six Million Dollar Man . Bennett received an Emmy for the 1982 miniseries A Woman Called Golda .

With his participation in the script and the production of the science fiction film Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan , he made his cinema debut in 1982. In these roles, he was up to and including Star Trek V: The Final Frontier instrumental in the cinema productions of the popular Star Trek - Franchise involved. In Star Trek V, he also made a cameo as the Admiral of Starfleet.

Then he turned back to television. In 1992 he wrote the screenplay for the disaster film Katastrophenflug 232 and he developed the television series Time Trax - Back to the Future , for which he also wrote some screenplays.

Bennett died on February 25, 2015 in Medford, Oregon, at the age of 84.
