Hatred helps | The involuntary donation campaign ( spelling : HASS HILFT or HassHilft ) is an action run by the Center for Democratic Culture (ZDK) gGmbH , in which one euro is donated to Aktion Deutschland Hilft und with the help of sponsors for every hate speech made in social networks Exit-Germany is donated, which results in a complete reversal of the original intention of the comment.

history

On the occasion of the annual event in Wunsiedel associated with the Rudolf Heß Memorial March , numerous neo-Nazis demonstrated on November 15, 2014 . In this context, without the knowledge of those involved, ten euros were donated to Exit-Germany for every meter run . In this way, 10,000 euros were raised with the help of sponsors . Since then, this procedure has been used regularly as part of the “ Rechts gegen Rechts” campaign.

In connection with the refugee crisis in Germany from 2015 and the related reception in social networks, which some commentators revealed open hatred, the campaign was institutionalized with the support of Facebook . Since then, sponsors have donated one euro for every hateful comment.

The current supporters and sponsors are FC St. Pauli , Sky Deutschland , bigFM , brand eins , fisch + fleisch, Sofortüberweisung , CelleHeute, Four Minutes Filmproduktion, Wood Water Film, Moritz Verlag, Union of Education and Science (GEW), Azimo, Knackscharfrent and formundraum.
