Haugaland

The Haugaland (certain form: Haugalandet ) is a geographical area in western Norway , which includes the northern parts of the Fylke Rogaland and the southern Vestland . Haugaland consists of the 9 municipalities Bokn , Etne , Haugesund , Karmøy , Sauda , Sveio , Tysvær , Utsira , Vindafjord . Etne and Sveio are in Fylke Vestland, the other 7 municipalities are in Fylke Rogaland. The population in 2006 was 96,423.

Haugaland is one of 15 districts that make up the Vestlandet region .
