The Ameide house is a monument in Detmold in the Lippe district . Originally built as a club house, it is now one of the buildings of the Lippe State Museum .
history
The late classicist villa was built in 1871/72 for the resource association . In a fire in September 1883, the building burned down to the basement . The reconstruction took place in the years 1883/84 by the Detmold city architect Karl Leopold Petri . In 1935 the association was threatened with dissolution by the National Socialists , the financially burdened Haus Ameide was sold to the Wehrmacht for use as an officers' mess , and today's association headquarters on the avenue was acquired from the proceeds. The house has been part of the Lippe State Museum since 1953. It was already included in the list of monuments of North Rhine-Westphalia by the state conservator in 1973 and has been entered in the Detmold list of monuments since May 17, 1985 with the number A096 .
architecture
The house is a two-story solid building with a hipped roof . To the west and east side seven window axes and a central projection over three window axes, north and south side three-axis, on the south side with a single axis central projection, in which the main entrance. The canopy in front of the main portal, covered with sheet copper, stands on six fluted columns. The windows on the first floor are framed by pilasters and partly suspected by triangular gables . Optical structuring of the storeys or of the upper floor and roof by a surrounding cornice , and additional consoles below the roof .
