Jolanta Ogar

Jolanta Ogar-Hill (born April 28, 1982 in Brzesko , Poland ) is a Polish sailor who competed for Austria from 2013-2016 . Together with her teammate Lara Vadlau , she has won multiple world and European championships in the 470 class .

Life

Initially active in volleyball , Ogar switched to sailing at the age of 26. She took part in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London for Poland .

Since 2013 she has been sailing as a crew member with the Austrian sailor Lara Vadlau and together they won silver at the 2013 sailing world championships and gold in 2014 , as the first Austrian women's team.

In June 2014 Ogar became an Austrian citizen.

In 2014, Jolanta Ogar and Lara Vadlau were named Team of the Year by the Austrian Sports Journalists' Association . In 2015 they won another title in the 470 class at the World Cup in Haifa .

She has been back for Poland since 2017.

Jolanta Ogar is a lesbian .
