History and description
The house Kräheneck was built in 1892. The client was Wilhelm Schwab. Stylistically, the Wilhelminian style villa belongs to the outgoing historicism . The previously detached villa has a base made of natural stone . The lavishly designed roof with two towers covered with Gothic beaver tail is remarkable . The facade of the house is plastered and has ornamental frameworks in the gables . Striking details include the striking sandstone work . The column at the entrance with the grimaces carved from sandstone in the local style typical of the construction period has also been well preserved . The villa's fountain has also been well preserved.
The Kräheneck house is now part of the Marienhospital .
Monument protection
For architectural, architectural and urban history reasons, the Kräheneck house is a listed building .
