Haworthia vlokii is a species of the genus Haworthia in the subfamily of the Affodilla family (Asphodeloideae). The specific epithet vlokii honors the South African environmental advisor and plant collector Jan HJ Vlok (* 1957).
description
Haworthia vlokii grows stemless and sprouts. The spread to almost upright leaves form a rosette with a diameter of 4 to 5 centimeters. The opaque leaf blade is covered with indistinct white dots towards its tip. The leaf edge and the leaf keel have short thorns .
The simple inflorescence reaches a length of 30 to 45 centimeters. The flowers are white and brownish pink.
Systematics and distribution
Haworthia vlokii is widespread in the South African province of Western Cape in the Little Karoo on the Swartberg Mountains .
The first description by Martin Bruce Bayer was published in 1999.
