Hawronzi ( Ukrainian Гавронці ; Russian Гавронцы Gawronzy ) is a village in the Ukrainian Poltava Oblast with about 60 inhabitants (2001).
Administratively, the village belongs to the district council of Stassi in the southeast of Dykanka district .
The village is located at an altitude of 84 m on the right bank of the Worskla , a 464 km long left tributary of the Dnieper , 3 km southeast of the Stassi community center, 15 km south of the Dykanka district center and 18 km north of the Poltava oblast center . The N 12 road runs to the west of the village .
The wooden Church of the Nativity of John the Baptist was built in Hawronzi in the 17th century . It was destroyed by Swedish troops in the Great Northern War and rebuilt in 1710. In 1851 a wooden bell tower was added to the church building, which was built next to the building. In 1858 the church and the bell tower were given a stone base. In 1895 the parish had 1,146 members. By 1902 the number of parishioners rose to 1,181 and in 1912 the parish had 1,220 members of both sexes.
