Stassi ( Ukrainian Стасі ; Russian Стаси ) is a village in the Ukrainian Poltava Oblast with about 2100 inhabitants (2001).
The village, founded in the first half of the 17th century, is the administrative center of the eponymous, 62.726 km² district council in the south of Dykanka district , to which the villages of Hawronzi with about 60 inhabitants, Hlody ( Глоди , ⊙ ) with about 5 inhabitants, Kamjanka ( Кам'янка , ⊙ ) with about 70 inhabitants, Mychajliwka with about 420 inhabitants and Slynkiw Jar ( Слиньків Яр , ⊙ ) with about 50 inhabitants.
The village is located at an altitude of 159 m between the right bank of the Worskla in the east and the highway N 12 in the west, 13 km south of the Dykanka district center and 20 km north of the Poltava oblast center .
Personalities
The painter Marie Bashkirtseff was born in 1858 or 1860 in the municipality of Hawronzi .
