Haynsburg is a district of the Wetterzeube municipality in the Burgenland district in Saxony-Anhalt .
geography
Haynsburg is about 7 km southwest of Zeitz and 10 km north of Bad Köstritz on the right bank of the White Elster , while the train station is on the left bank.
history
Haynsburg was the seat of the Haynsburg Office until 1792 .
Haynsburg was hit by witch hunts in 1624 . Gertraudt Häussler got into a witch trial and was burned.
On July 1, 1950, the previously independent communities of Katersdobersdorf, Raba and Sautzschen were incorporated.
In the Sautzschen district, the Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe maintained a company holiday home in the Neue Mühle .
On January 1, 2010, the communities of Haynsburg and Breitenbach merged with the community of Wetterzeube to form the new community of Wetterzeube.

Infrastructure
Haynsburg has a train station with a distinctive entrance building on the Leipzig – Probstzella railway line . The station has not been served since the beginning of 2011.
