Hazyview is a city in the South African province of Mpumalanga . It is located in the City of Mbombela municipality in the Ehlanzeni district . To the east of the city is the Kruger National Park .

In 2011 Hazyview had 4,236 residents. The Sabie flows through the town in a west-east direction.
history
The chief Magashula once ruled the area. In 1845 the Portuguese merchant João Albasini settled east of his kraal , near today's Phabeni Gate ; it was probably the first European settlement in the Lowveld . Today over 40% white people live in the place . The place got its name (German: "Dunstblick") after the haze that occurs frequently in summer.
Economy and Transport
Bananas and macadamia are grown around Hazyview due to the subtropical climate and fertile soils . Another source of income is tourism. There are several game reserves, especially east of the city, near the Kruger National Park .
Hazyview is located on the R40 regional road , which leads in a north-south direction from Bushbuckridge via Hazyview to White River . The R535 connects Graskop in the west with Hazyview, the R536 Sabie in the southwest with the Phabeni Gate of the Kruger National Park in the east, about eight kilometers away . Hazyview Airport ( IATA designation HZV ) is located immediately to the east of Hazyview and is not served by scheduled services.
