The Headroom Sound Production GmbH & Co. KG is a German audio book publisher with its own recording studio in Cologne . In addition to its own audio books, it also produces commissioned work for other publishers and various public broadcasters .

history

Headroom was founded in 1997 by Theresia Singer, who previously worked as a sound engineer at WDR . From 1999 she concentrated on her own company and first exhibited at the Frankfurt Book Fair in 2000 .

The company's own productions are published in various series, including "Adventure & Knowledge", "Rätsel der Erde" and "Astrologie & Leben". The "wegwärts" series won the 2010 German Audiobook Prize in the " Best Publishing Achievement " category . Distribution takes place through several publishing agencies in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
