Maja Nielsen (born March 25, 1964 in Hamburg ) is the author of the audio and non-fiction series Adventure, Maja Nielsen tells .

Life

Maja Nielsen completed her acting studies at the University of Music and Theater , Hamburg . She later took on theater engagements in Hamburg, Munich , Stuttgart , Tübingen and Kassel . She got into writing adventure stories through her two sons. In 1998 Maja Nielsen began working as a radio author and published her first children's books. Her stories and radio plays first appeared on children's radio ( HR , WDR , BR , MDR ).

Since 2006 Maja Nielsen has been concentrating on the children's non-fiction series “Adventure! Maja Nielsen tells ”( Gerstenberg Verlag , Hildesheim), which now comprises 22 volumes (status 02/2014). A secret of her success: Maja Nielsen takes children and their questions seriously. Another ingredient of her recipe for success is the close contact between the author and her audience. Over 150 readings per year are impressive proof of this. Maja Nielsen is a welcome guest at all major literary festivals such as LitCologne, the Munich Book Show or the Seiteneinsteiger Festival. In 2013, the Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels named Maja Nielsen “Reading Artist of the Year 2013”.

Maja Nielsen has two sons and lives in Rosbach vd Höhe .
