Heather Turland

Heather Turland (born April 27, 1960 ) is a former Australian marathon runner .

At the 1994 Half Marathon World Championships in Oslo, she came in 49th place.

In 1996 she was eighth at the Half Marathon World Championships in Palma and third at the Frankfurt Marathon .

At the marathon of the World Athletics Championships in 1997 in Athens, she finished 20th. In 1998 she won the Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur .

In 1999 she finished fifth in the Nagano Marathon and gave up at the World Championships in Seville .

In 1994 and 1996 she was the Australian half marathon champion . In 2002 she became the overall winner of the Sydney Marathon national marathon champion.
