action

Ambassador Julien Rochelle attended a dinner in Bern in 1942 and, to his astonishment, met his former lover Clothilde de Watteville. As part of this reunion, Julien remembers how he took up his first post years earlier in Morocco, as a young diplomat from France, and met Clothilde there for the first time, with whom he initially entered into a casual liaison, which, however, worked for him developed into a dangerous obsession that would haunt him years later.
