The village of Heckenhof is part of the municipality of Aufseß in Upper Franconia .

Heckenhof is just under one and a half kilometers south-southeast of Aufseß and is at an altitude of 469 meters.

history

The Heckenhof estate was Reichsmannlehen of the Lord von Streitberg, from 1691 the Schenken von Stauffenberg. Fief takers were the lords von Aufseß. As a result of the administrative reforms carried out in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , the place became part of the independent rural community Aufseß, to which the village of Oberaufseß also belonged. At the end of the 1980s, Heckenhof had 43 residents.

In the southern area of Heckenhof is the building of the former Heckenhof manor , a two-story saddle roof building with half-timbered gable, which was built in the 18th century. This architectural monument is listed in the Bavarian monument list with the number D-4-72-115-6 . Today this building is an inn, which is a popular destination, especially for motorcyclists.

The connection to the public road network is established by several municipal roads that lead to State Road 2188 , which runs around 200 meters northeast of Heckenhof .
