The village of Sachsendorf is part of the municipality of Aufseß in Upper Franconia .

geography

Sachsendorf is located about three and a half kilometers north-northeast of Aufseß and is at an altitude of 413 meters.

history

As a result of the administrative reforms carried out in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , the place became an independent rural community, to which the wasteland Hundshof also belonged. In the course of the first phase of the municipal territorial reform carried out in Bavaria in the 1970s , the municipality of Sachsendorf was initially incorporated into Neuhaus in 1971 . In 1978 it was incorporated into the Aufseß community together with this former community. In 1987 Sachsendorf had 226 inhabitants.

In Sachsendorf a field chapel from the 19th century is a listed building. A former inn and a house on Schloßstraße, both built in the 18th century, are also protected.

traffic

The state road 2189 binds Sachsendorf on to the public road network. It runs through the place from Neuhaus in the southwest coming in a northeast direction to Hollfeld .
