Hector Hurst (born July 15, 1992 ) is a British automobile racing driver .

Career

Hurst began his motorsport career at the age of 13 in karting , where he was active until 2010. In his final karting season, however, he was no longer as active as he focused on his education. In 2011, Hurst switched to formula racing . He started in the BARC Formula Renault for Scorpio Motorsport . While his teammate Kourosh Khani finished fourth overall, Hurst finished his debut season in 13th overall. Two fifth places were his best results. After the season he competed for Manor Competition in the winter series of the British Formula Renault. In this he achieved eleventh place overall.

After convincing the series organizers of the FIA Formula 2 championship during test drives in winter, he received a cockpit for the 2012 season in this series . Hurst regularly came in the points and finished the season in tenth place. In winter 2012/13, Hurst drove in the MRF Challenge Formula 2000 . With a podium placement, he reached eighth place. In 2013, Hurst received a cockpit in the European F3 Open at EmiliodeVillota Motorsport . He won a race for the racing team and was on the podium two more times. The last event he played for the West-Tec F3 team . At the end of the season he finished seventh overall. In 2014 , Hurst initially competed for the West-Tec F3 team in the European Formula 3 championship . His involvement ended after the eighth race weekend. In the overall ranking he was finally in 24th place.
